About Us

We consider ourselves a chill, but fun and adventurous couple. We love connecting with others and growing our circle of friends and family. On a normal week, you could find us working hard at work and on our business, spending time with friends, date nights, going to musicals, working out, and movie nights with kettle popcorn and cuddles. :) We are big on putting positive input in our minds and hearts and do that through positive podcasts and reading to grow ourselves spiritually and intellectually. We also help out with the youth program at church and love spending time with them. Any chance we get to be together, with friends and family, and babies, we are happy. :)

Nate
(Written by Anika)

Nate grew up in Woodstock, Illinois (the town Groundhog Day was filmed at) as the middle of 3 children. He played the trombone and sang in choir for 10 years, played baseball, football, and wrestled through high school. After he graduated, he served a mission in Tampa, Florida and loved the people and food out there. He always talks about how cool it was to have an 80 degree Christmas. After his mission, he went to Utah State for business school. He works for a construction company in the office, but is super entrepreneurial as well. He likes to travel and hang out with friends. Some of his other hobbies are pickleball, dreaming about the future and planning fun trips, trying new restaurants, self development, and watching movies.

Nate is one of the best men I know. He is chill, down to earth, and is funny. He is naturally introverted and fills his cup by being by himself, but he is amazing at connecting with anyone and helping them feel at home. He is very driven, a hard worker, and a huge dreamer. I’m always inspired by the vision he has for our family and our future. He loves encouraging people to work for their dreams and goals. Nate is always down to try new things and new experiences, he’s very open minded. He has very high standards for himself and wants to be his best self. I love his relationship with God and the faith or trust he has in Him guiding his decisions and life. He is trustworthy and always shows up when he says he is going to, a man of his word. I’m blessed to be married to my best friend and know that anyone who gets to interact with him is totally blessed as well.

Anika
(Written by Nate)

Anika grew up in West Point, Utah and is the 2nd of 6 children. She is the oldest sister so she is also known as 2nd mom:) She grew up singing in choir, playing volleyball, tennis, and helping mom with her siblings.

After high school, she went to Snow College for a year before serving a mission in Nashville, Tennessee which she absolutely loved. After too many bad ice cream mutual dates (hehe, shouldn’t let the husband write this), she decided to transfer to Utah State where she studied Human Development and Family Studies. She wanted to study something that would help with her dream of being a stay at home mom.

She currently works part time at a Dental office as one of the receptionists. When she’s not working, she loves to spend time with her close family and friends, go out for sushi, exercise, and shop. She tells people she’s an introvert, but can strike up a conversation with anyone and help them feel like a million bucks. She loves helping the young women at our church and being a mentor to them. Outside of being a mom, she has always wanted to help cultivate healthy marriages and families wherever she goes.

Anika is one of the kindest people I know. She is quick to forgive and quicker to hug. She never gives up on her goals and dreams and is a great example of what Christlike love looks like.
